Medical Waste Company Leads Way In Accreditation

Sweeney Todd Waste Disposal P/L has been informed by accreditation body NCS International that it has been awarded certification of its management system.

This confirms the Company operates a management system that complies with the AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.

The scope of the Certification is:
Collection, transport, containment and dispatch of clinical and related waste.

Owner Dr Hugh Parsons states "I am absolutely delighted that we have achieved recognition in this way. It shows that with a bit of hard work the standards can be raised and it gives us the confidence to work above and beyond compliance".

"This has been a long hard road for us but we always had the determination to achieve this goal" Dr Parsons was particularly thankful for the assistance of his staff and also the Gordon TAFE, Geelong whose input was noted.

Sweeney Todd Waste Disposal P/L was founded in 1995 and is based in Geelong. It covers the whole of Victoria and beyond. It has its own modern non burn treatment facility and has 12 vehicles on the road.

It is believed to be the first Medical Waste Company to have achieved this level of Accreditation.
