Environmental Policy
Sweeney Todd Waste Disposal is a world’s best practice clinical waste collector
and treatment provider. The company is dedicated to improving environmental
practices throughout the entire business. We believe that environmental
sustainability is the cornerstone of our business and that natural resources
need to be maintained to ensure our future.
To achieve this aim the company will:
1.
Achieve and maintain an international standard in environmental management
with a committment to prevent environmental pollution
2.
Regularly review our business practices and make continual improvements to
environmental aspects
3.
Reduce environmental incidences through staff training and provision of suitable
equipment
4.
Monitor and review natural resource consumption and avoid or reduce consumption
where practicable
5.
Plan and conduct an environmental training program for all staff
6.
Avoid or reduce wastage across the business and adopt the principles of the
waste management hierarchy
7.
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 10% in 2010
8.
A planned reduction in the use of energy and waste production of 10% in 2010
9.
Encourage feedback from staff and the community to ensure social expectations in
sustainability are met.
10.
Any waste that can not be treated on site will be located to next best suitable
facilities that have an established environmental control particularly with
opportunities to recycle or recover energy from the waste.
11.
Comply with and exceed if at all possible all relevant legislation and
standards and other requirements deemed necessary.
All of the above will be achieved using safe work practices to ensure the health
and welfare of all staff and the general community.
